BlackRock Has the Fastest-Growing ETFs
BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager with $10 trillion under management, celebrated this week by claiming to have some of the fastest-growing exchange-traded funds in history.
CEO Larry Fink stated on the company's earnings call this week: "We have grown from virtually zero digital asset ETPs and active ETFs to 10 by 2023, representing over $100 billion in digital assets and over $80 billion in active ETFs. The rapid growth in these premium categories reaffirms our success in expanding distribution and rapidly adapting to new products and markets."
The largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization hit an all-time high of $126,272.76 on October 6, 2025, before falling below $110,000.
Investors call Bitcoin a safe haven
Over the past week, escalating tensions between China and the United States hurt market sentiment for digital assets. Meanwhile, gold prices surged to an all-time high of $4,280.20 per ounce.
Another prominent example is the iShares Ethereum ETF, ticker symbol ETHA, which holds approximately $160 billion in assets. $1 billion.
Nevertheless, Bitcoin and Ethereum have each risen about 14% this year, slightly outpacing the S&P 500's 13% gain as of Friday.
BlackRock shares have risen 14% year to date.
